I’m a little bit biased, since I’m focused climate change, but I think they do an excellent job at communicating climate sciences and their nuances. 🇬🇧 Journalist — Carbon Brief
Who: Carbon Brief
What: Working closely with the Editor and the rest of the team, you’ll report on the latest scientific and policy developments relevant to climate change.
Specifically, you will focus on the interactions between land use, nature, food systems and climate change. This could range from disentangling claims in the media about deforestation and climate change, to summarising the latest study on biodiversity loss, or working with our multimedia journalists on an infographic about burning biomass for power.
Where: Typically, Carbon Brief only considers candidates who have the right to work permanently in the United Kingdom. However, for a truly exceptional candidate, we will consider an alternative (non-sponsored) remote-working arrangement.
When: 9am on Monday, 28 June 2021
How much: £36,000 plus benefits; dependent on skills, experience and location.

🇬🇧 Freelance Content Producer — NCCPE
Who: National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement
What: We are seeking a freelance content producer to support the NCCPE team in creating the necessary assets to support the NERC Mentoring Cohorts Programme. We are specifically looking for a content producer who has experience developing and producing multimedia training resources and assets, and can work with us to develop specific elements of the programme.
Where: This role will be primarily home-based with regular video meetings, although there may be a small amount of filming work taking place on location (tbc).
When: Wednesday 9th June.
How much: Guideline daily rate: up to £600
