🏴 Access Programmes Manager - Royal Veterinary College
Who: Royal Veterinary College
What: The Royal Veterinary College is committed to attracting under-represented students to the RVC to ensure a diverse student population in the veterinary and allied professions as well as biological science; this forms one of the platforms of our Access and Participation Plan (APP). The Access Programmes Manager is central to this goal and the role requires an imaginative and enthusiastic person, preferably with a scientific background, a postgraduate teaching qualification and a track record of successful outreach management and delivery. The role manages initiatives aimed at raising aspirations, attainment, and achievement in biological science, veterinary medicine and veterinary nursing for Widening Participation students. This role manages Access Programmes and a number of posts within the WP team; with oversight of the pre-application stage of student life cycle programmes, including leading Student ambassador training for Widening Participation events. The post works at local, regional and national levels. It requires collaborative work across many teams in the RVC and will be a hybrid role; with home and office working.

🏴 Access, Evaluation & Targets Manager - Royal Veterinary College
Who: Royal Veterinary College
What: The Royal Veterinary College is committed to attracting under-represented students to the RVC and other relevant UK HEIs to ensure a diverse student population in the veterinary and allied professions as well as biological science; this forms one of the platforms of our Access and Participation Plan. The postholder is central to this goal. Collaborating across multiple departments (including a key role in the APP Data Working Group), the post holder will integrate data systems, gather and analyse data across departments, and share the resulting insights internally and externally. Through this collaboration they will also bring together the needs of multiple stakeholders across the RVC, to identify effective opportunities for cross-departmental working, and in doing so remove Access barriers for under-represented young people. The post-holder will have responsibility for targeting young people at both school/FEC and individual level with a view to supporting and promoting their entry to higher education at RVC or elsewhere. The tracking and evaluation of programme impacts will be an essential feature and will support the on-going development of evidence-based actions which will lead to the successful achievement of aims laid down in the RVC’s Access & Participation Plan and the RVC for All Strategy. The postholder will play a crucial role in contributing to the authorship and revision of both the APP and RVC for All Strategy and associated data and monitoring returns.
