Who: Institute of Global Health Innovation
What: You will be expected to lead and deliver the Institute’s communications strategy. Your role will ensure that our communications improve engagement with audiences including the public, media and other stakeholders and will identify opportunities for providing expert comment to breaking news lead on disseminating the Institute’s expertise and activities with priority audiences. You will be responsible for directing IGHI’s programme of public engagement, communications and outreach activities, as well as managing the Institute’s website and social media platforms. This includes coordinating communications for IGHI’s COVID-19 activities, particularly the REACT study. We are looking for a self-motivated, independent and highly engaged team member to join us.

What: This is a mixed role involving research grants administration (liaising with researchers and reviewers) as well as dissemination of research and providing meningitis-related information, fact-sheets etc for public enquiries and other facts and figures to colleagues, plus event management (e.g. research panels).

How much: £26,000-£28,000 (depending on experience) including 2% employee pension contribution + 6% employer pension contribution. Paid in arrears on or around 25th of each month.
