What: Your tasks include managing ECSA's communication activities and working on EU funded projects that touch on environmental, natural and social sciences.
● Support the evolution of ECSA’s communication strategy and monitor its internal and external implementation.
● Develop dissemination, exploitation and sustainability strategies for projects and report on their execution.
● Expand our existing social media networks and digital presence, keeping the website and community platform up to date.
● Organise ECSA’s webinar series.
● Continuous support of the ECSA working groups.
● Support the implementation of analogue, hybrid and online events and conferences.
● Contribute to ECSA’s work on accessibility, visibility and inclusivity.

🏴 Science Communication Officer – Rothamsted Research

What: Rothamsted Research is looking for a talented public communication specialist to help tell compelling stories about our science and the people who work here. You should be able to craft content our audiences care about – whether its farmers, politicians, scientists, or the public – by lifting the lid on how we work and why our research is crucial for a sustainable farming future. Working within a dynamic communications team, you will be self-starting and full of ideas about how to source and produce content. You will be willing to embrace the latest digital techniques and immerse yourself in social media to dig out the real-time stories we are looking for. You will also contribute to our busy events programme, helping to develop engaging content for live audiences. Getting out into the Institute to develop relationships, curiosity, and the ability to produce accurate and engaging content will be vital to the role. You don't need to be a specialist in agricultural or environmental science, but a willingness to learn and engage with our world-leading scientists is a must. The role is primarily based at our Harpenden campus (Hertfordshire), but with some remote and field working, including out of hours.
