Research Communication and Engagement Officer at UCL Institute of Education
Who: UCL Institute of Education
What: You will be based within a vibrant research team at the Centre for Research in Autism and Education (CRAE). CRAE’s mission is to enhance the lives of autistic people and their families by improving the research evidence for effective interventions, education and outcomes (see http://crae.ioe.ac.uk for further information).
You will take a leading role in developing and coordinating the communication and engagement strategy for CRAE’s research and practice (including outputs, activities and events). Working closely with CRAE Director, Anna Remington, you will be expected to seek external funding, primarily from the philanthropic and charitable sectors, for specific engagement projects.
You will also facilitate regular communication with project partners and participants. This will involve active engagement with the autistic and broader autism communities to promote awareness and acceptance of autism, to disseminate CRAE’s research and activities to autistic people, their families and those who support them.
This post is funded for 12 months in the first instance.

What: As an In2scienceUK intern you will primarily support the development and delivery of the In2scienceUK summer programme for year 12 students, however there may be opportunities to support the In2scienceUK Alumni programme and there may be opportunities to get involved in other aspects of the charity.
